In ancient India, a "Gurukula" was more than a school: it was a living community where students resided with their teacher (Guru) and learned not just academics, but the art of living. The word itself means "family of the Guru" (Guru = teacher, Kula = family/home).

Each school day begins with children gathering in a circle, reciting a simple Kannada prayer or shloka, and setting a positive intention for the day. This quiet ritual centres children and prepares their minds for learning.

Every child is greeted by name at the door each morning. Knowing their name is remembered, that their arrival matters, builds a profound sense of belonging and safety, the essential foundations for learning.
ಪ್ರತಿ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ನೆನಪಿದೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಆಗಮನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಾಗ ಆಳವಾದ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಭಾವ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
Older children in a class are encouraged to help younger ones: tying shoelaces, reaching a shelf, explaining a concept. This "teach-to-learn" approach deepens understanding and builds leadership naturally.
